Produced by Honestly Speaking in partnership with Dance Loft on 14
This March, Honestly Speaking invites audiences to The HERstory Collective—a bold, intimate micro-residency celebrating women’s voices, stories, power, and influence through our signature bilingual ASL + English theatre experience.
Featuring three dynamic works—Hey Girl, Hey!, And I Am Telling You (A Dreamgirls Revue), and Out of the Mouths of Boys—this collective is designed as a girls’ night (and day!) out with purpose, a space for laughter, reflection, music, and conversation that honors women while inviting them to bring the men and boys in their lives along for the journey.
From unapologetic joy and sisterhood, to iconic music reimagined, to honest explorations of masculinity seen through a woman’s lens, The HERstory Collective asks:
What happens when women lead the story—and invite everyone else to listen?
Audiences will experience a curated series of performances that are accessible, inclusive, and rooted in cultural dialogue—where Deaf and hearing communities share the same room, the same stories, and the same energy.
Whether you come with your girls, your partner, your son, your nephew, or your best friend, The HERstory Collective is an invitation to celebrate Women’s History Month not just by watching—but by experiencing, together.

The Honestly team, led by founder, Nicole Morgan, is a group of wacky individuals who dare to believe that a set of actors, writers, a stage manager and a small set of theatre ferries can make art will change the world.

Honestly Speaking Inc. is a minority, woman-owned 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to entertain, educate, development provoke and inspire diverse and bilingual (ASL & English) audiences through the power of unparalleled storytelling, reflecting underrepresented voices that tackle the social and social justice issues that matter the most to the people of our generation and beyond.
We seek to be on one of world's leading producers of art-entertainment for Deaf and hearing audiences around the world.

The seed of Honestly Speaking Inc. was planted in 2008 as Crooked Parts Publishing. What started as a one-time fundraising theatre event has morphed into a multi-faceted Visual and Performance Arts nonprofit production house with programming and professional development in the areas of education, music, theatre, and film.
Though the ASL component was not added until 2015, it is now the signature of HSI to produce simultaneous, bilingual productions in English and ASL, bridging the communities while introducing audiences and actors to a new way to experience theatre, dance and music.
