A Theatrical Revolution: "The Color Purple" in BOTH ASL & English
This is NOT an interpreted show. This is NOT business as usual.
This is history in the making!
For the first time ever, "The Color Purple" will be performed as a fully bilingual masterpiece—American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English seamlessly intertwined, equally powerful, equally present, and unapologetically bold.
This production is crafted with intention, where ASL is not an afterthought—it’s the heartbeat. Spoken English is not dominant—it’s a partner. Every song, every word, every movement is designed to resonate with both Deaf and hearing audiences on the same emotional frequency.
You will not miss a moment.
You will not miss a word.
You will not miss the magic.
This is more than a show. It’s a cultural landmark, a celebration of Black resilience, Deaf excellence, and linguistic beauty that shatters barriers and redefines what inclusive theatre looks like.
"The Color Purple" has always been a story of survival, love, and transformation. Now, it speaks—and signs—to ALL of us.
Don’t just witness history. BE there for it.
