Hey Girl, Hey: Letters and Lessons from One Brown Girl to Another is a one-woman theatrical love letter to Black women. Told through a series of letters that carry the audience across a lifetime, the performance introduces 13+ characters whose stories reflect the humor, tenderness, contradictions, and resilience of Black womanhood.
Without announcement or explanation, a quiet personal journey unfolds beneath the surface—one that speaks to body, beauty, identity, and becoming. Raw, intimate, and often funny, Hey Girl, Hey! holds space for the full range of Black women’s experiences, offering moments of recognition, reflection, and release—and reminding us that we are never walking alone.
Perfect event for Girls night (or day!) out.
Black women have always gathered—on stoops, in kitchens, in dressing rooms, and over late-night laughs. Those moments of being together are how we heal, dream, and remember who we are. Community gives us the strength to step back into the world whole. Gather with us. This space is for us.
At Honestly Speaking, access is part of how we create together. If you need accommodations—such as ASL interpretation, PT ASL support, mobility support, or other access needs—please let us know in advance so we can welcome you fully and plan with care.
